I was taught in school that CO2 played a vital role in the well-being of our planet. That is why I was confused when it was getting bad press. Could too much be bad?
Is there really too much CO2?
According to Climate Depot this is all hype:
“Renowned Climatologist: ‘You can go outside and spit and have the same effect as doubling carbon dioxide’
‘Scientists note that geologically speaking, the Earth is currently in a ‘CO2 famine‘ and that the geologic record reveals that ice ages have occurred when CO2 was at 2000 ppm to as high as 8000 ppm. In addition, peer-reviewed studies have documented that there have been temperatures similar to the present day on Earth when carbon dioxide was up to twenty times higher than today’s levels’

And Plants need CO2 “Our mission is to educate the public on the positive effects of additional atmospheric CO2 and help prevent the inadvertent negative impact to human, plant and animal life if we reduce CO2.”
People run around accusing left-wing, tree-hugging, liberals, crazy environmentalists for the big push on reducing carbon in the environment. That the government is bowing under the pressure.I don’t believe the government has ever listened to the environmentalists. Not the real ones anyway.
It makes me wonder why there was so much hype behind this. And then…
I found the headlines:
Just think how lucky the oil and gas companies got when the looney-left demanded lower CO2 emissions.
How many corporations, factories and schools were given grants, money to research, money change their bad ways. To save the planet and the people.
All on the average Joe’s dime.
Everyone wins! Everyone but the everyday people and the planet. But we should be used to it by now, right?
