I don’t know about you but, I am tired of hotmail constantly wanting more personal information. Asking for my phone number is the last straw!
Just to let everyone know, I will no longer be using my hotmail account. If I have missed sending you my new e-mail, you can drop me a line here and I will send you my new one.
I quite like that my account is kept secure in this way, but I know that with Yahoo accounts if I don’t link my telephone number to it they ask me to do so every time I sign in – very annoying – there is no “don’t ask me again” option, only “skip for now”. I think it is a balance between security and them knowing more than you want them to.
Thanks for the comment, Brian. I just don’t want telemarketing companies getting their hands on it. I now use the mail from my internet provider.
It is a pain when they do ask every time I signed in and they would say I would no longer be able to use it if I didn’t give them the information. No thanks!
One down side to using the e-mail account provided by your ISP is that you may lose that account if you switch providers (in search of a better deal, for example) 😉
LOL! Never thought about that. 🙂
