Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Igor Petrishenko has got into a car accident in Russia in which two women died, a source at the Belarusian embassy in Moscow told TASS. “It is true that a car belonging to the Belarusian embassy had an accident in the territory of the Smolensk region that claimed the lives of two people,” the embassy source said. Ambassador Igor Petrishenko who sat at the back of the car and his driver were seriously injured.

But given the specifics, and in view of our close interaction, Belarus and Russia went further ahead. This agreement provides for joint guarding of the western borders of the Union State, and for provision of advanced technical equipment for the air and air defense forces,” the Ambassador said.

Igor Petrishenko noted that Belarus and Russia have set up a joint regional force. The two states pursue a coordinated military policy on the issues of nuclear disarmament, including in the UN, OSCE, actively interact within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”
